You Are Still Young

I found a collection of poems a little while ago, posted online by a 21-year-old at the time named Di. Each poem touched on themes of growing older and feeling as though time was passing you by too fast. Accompanied by these poems was the sentence, “You are young and you still have time to be a person.” This ongoing series of images is my way of grappling with that idea. Although the images I’ve pulled to create this series of work already spans a number of years, I have no intention of ever formally concluding it, as I don’t think there will come a time when I don’t need to remind myself that I still have time to enjoy myself and be with those for whom I care the most.
